Saturday Tip: Pinterest

I've been hearing a ton of buzz around the digi world about the site Pinterest but wasn't really sure if I wanted to take on yet another site to check everyday. But, everyone I know in digi seemed to be talking about how great it is so I couldn't resist checking it out! And now I can't imagine life without it so I thought I'd share a bit about it with you in case its something you might enjoy checking out!

Pinterest describes itself as a "virtual pinboard — a place where you can create collections of things you love and "follow" collections created by people with great taste." There are a ton of digital scrapbookers on Pinterest so you'll quickly find lots of other scrappers to follow! The beauty of Pinterest is that you can create collections and then just pin anything related to that collection right onto that pinboard! I have quite a few collections myself - digital scrapbooking, home ideas, food, quotations, gifts, photography and so on! All of which I can access online anytime I'm needing inspiration or ideas! I usually spend just 10 minutes a day checking out the new pins of my friends and repin those that interest me! And, then I pin things that I find around the web that I'd like to see later! The location of the item is kept with the pin so you can go back to the source later if you need to!

Here are just a few of my own recent pins (to give you and idea of how cool this site is!!) ...

What I really love about Pinterest is finding inspiration from all over the web and being able to easily house it in one central location. It keeps me inspired and motivated in so many ways! I hope you'll find inspiration over at Pinterest! Check it out! You won't regret it!

Thanks for explaining this. I noticed yesterday that a quilter I was reading about was on Pinterest and that was the first I had seen but when I went there, it did not make sense to me so I was glad to have you blog about this!
